Advocating for Professional Standards: PMAASL Submits Key Proposals for the New National Cinema Council Act

On January 14, 2026, the Professional Makeup Artists’ Association of Sri Lanka (PMAASL) took a historic step towards securing the future of the industry.
A comprehensive proposal aimed at addressing the critical challenges faced by professional makeup artists and elevating the standards of the profession was officially handed over to the National Film Corporation. This proposal includes vital recommendations to be incorporated into the upcoming Act of the proposed National Cinema Council.
The official document was presented to Mr. Sudath Mahadivulwewa (Chairman of the National Film Corporation) and Mr. Ruwan Premaweera (General Manager) at the corporation’s premises.
